CloudEx Inc. ("we", "us", or "our") operates the "Multi Timer Pro" app (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. By using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to the practices described in this Policy.
1. Our approach
Multi Timer Pro is a kitchen timer and stopwatch app that runs several timers at the same time. It also includes a toothbrush timer. Timers, the stopwatch and the toothbrush timer, together with their records and settings, work entirely on your device. There is no account. In particular, we have no access to any of the following:
- The timers and presets you create (names, durations, colors, icons and sounds) and their running state
- Stopwatch times and laps
- Toothbrush records
- Sound files you choose, and what is read aloud
This information leaves your device only through actions you take yourself (sharing laps as text or as a CSV file) and through Android backup as described in section 2.2.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information collected automatically
- Anonymous crash reports: We use Firebase Crashlytics. When the app crashes, it collects the stack trace, device model, OS version and app version. These reports contain no personally identifying information and none of your timers, stopwatch times or toothbrush records.
- Purchase information: To confirm the one-time "Premium" purchase, we use the purchase token issued by Google Play. We never receive payment details such as credit card numbers.
- List of our other apps: To introduce our other apps, the app downloads their names, descriptions and icons from our content server (static files on Cloudflare Pages). The request contains no personal data from the app. As with any web request, the server receives your device's IP address as part of the connection. Tapping an app in the list opens its page on Google Play.
The app uses no usage-analytics tools and no advertising ID.
2.2 Information stored on your device
- Timers, presets, stopwatches and toothbrush records: Stored in the app's storage on your device and used only to show your lists, to continue timers after a restart, and to show your records (today, streak and the last 7 days).
- App settings: The default sound, ring length, volume stream, display settings, floating window position and similar settings are stored on your device.
- Sounds: Built-in sounds are generated on your device. If you choose your own sound file (Premium), the app receives permission to read only the file you picked and plays it. The file's contents are never sent to us.
- Voice (Premium): The name of a finished timer and the time-left phrases are passed to the text-to-speech engine set on your device (Android's text-to-speech) to be read aloud. That engine does the processing, under its provider's policy. We do not receive what is read aloud.
- Sharing laps and CSV: When you share laps as text, or export them as a CSV file (Premium), the content goes only to the destination you choose. The CSV file is created in temporary storage on your device for sharing.
- Android backup: If backup is turned on in your device settings, Android may include your timer and preset lists, toothbrush records, settings and purchase state in a backup to your own Google account. The times of running timers and the values of running stopwatches are excluded. This is an Android feature and we cannot access its contents.
- When you uninstall: Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes the timers, records and settings on your device.
2.3 Information we do not collect
- The contents of your timers, presets, stopwatches or toothbrush records
- Your name, email address, phone number or contacts (the app has no account)
- Your location
- Your advertising ID
- What is on your screen or in other apps
2.4 Permissions the app requests and why
To ring timers on time, the app uses a few OS permissions. Multi Timer Pro uses them only for the purposes below.
- Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS, Android 13 and later) — To show the time left on running timers, the Stop button for a ringing timer, the stopwatch time, and a notice for timers that ended while the phone was off.
- Alarms & reminders (USE_EXACT_ALARM; SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM on Android 12 / 12L) — To hand each timer's end time and in-between cue times to Android so that timers ring on time even with the screen off.
- Full-screen notifications (USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT) — To show the stop screen over the lock screen when a timer rings.
- Foreground service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK) — To play sound, vibration and voice while a timer is ringing, and for a few seconds while a running timer plays an in-between cue (toothbrush section cues, heads-up alerts and time-left announcements). It ends when the ring length passes, when you stop the timer, or when the cue has finished.
- Vibration (VIBRATE) — To vibrate when a timer rings and for in-between cues.
- Run at startup (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED) — To set the alarms of running timers again after the device restarts or the clock changes.
- Display over other apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW) — Only if you turn on the floating window (Premium), to show the time left over other apps. The app never reads what is on your screen.
- Internet (INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE) — Used only for anonymous crash reports, confirming purchases with Google Play, in-app review and in-app updates, downloading the list of our other apps, and showing this Privacy Policy in the app. Timers, the stopwatch and the toothbrush timer do not need an internet connection.
- Google Play billing (BILLING) — To buy and confirm the one-time Premium purchase.

5. Data retention
- Crash reports: kept for 90 days, then deleted.

8. Children's privacy
Multi Timer Pro is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age that applies where you live). The toothbrush timer and the visual timer are meant for parents to use together with their children. If we learn that we have collected information from such a child by mistake, we will delete it promptly after being contacted.
